YOU ARE THE ANSWER
In a world that is constantly changing, it’s hard to know what to do or where to start.
I’m sure anyone you ask on the planet right now will admit there has been a lot going on over the last 2-3 years! Between Covid-19, economic crisis, poverty, racism, violence and war, it’s hard not to feel overwhelmed and outright exhausted! For a long time I wracked my brain about what could be done to improve my life on this planet, and the life of others through service. I still don’t have all the answers, but I’ve made one small insight.
YOU are the answer!
Instead of looking outside of ourselves, looking for something in our external world to pick us up and save us, or that hero that will take it upon themselves to make lasting change for us all, I realized that the one and true answer to most of our problems lies within us – it is up to us each as individuals to contribute to improving this life on the planet as a human species. Instead of focusing on the macro, the big picture, the entirety of civilization (I want to save the world!), let’s focus on the micro, you as an individual, how you can be the hero you’re looking for (I want to save me!). The answer lies within you!
< Are you happy with your life? Do you feel fulfilled? Do you find yourself just passing the days, going through the motions, scrolling through social media hoping for something different? Do you like your job? Do you contribute? Have you met your own personal definition of success? Are you a role model for others before you point fingers at others for the things they are/are not doing? What are some changes you can make in your life today to improve your relationship with yourself, others and this planet? If everyone expected someone else would make the changes, who will? It starts with YOU, making small changes in your life to improve your health, wellness and overall happiness. It starts with you making changes so that you can be a role model for others. (domino effect 😉 ) >
Making change is hard. Especially when so many of us are feeling depleted. And I can understand it is hard to know where to start! But you are not alone. Many of us are trying to make positive changes while attending to life’s challenges and experience moments where our goals fall to the way-side and we ultimately feel disheartened. It can be a vicious cycle of energized ambition followed by failure, guilt and shame, motivating us to set goals again.. and so on; if those goals are not in alignment with our priorities and are ones we can identify with as individuals (rather than societal expectations), it’s easy to lose sight of our destination and reason for enduring the challenges of the journey.
Well… My name is Amanda and I am a Registered Nurse and Holistic Health & Wellness Nurse and Nurse Coach Student*. I want to get to know you and encourage you to find the meaning in your life so you can set realistic goals. I want to help answer any questions or concerns you have about you diagnosis – whether acute or chronic. I ultimately want to support you in finding that light within yourself so you can shine it on the world, in the hopes that if we all work together on improving our relationship with ourselves, each other and the planet, we may be able to break through the chaos we have been stuck in as a human species for centuries. It starts with small changes, and I would love to help you determine how to start. I am here for you, I see you and I respect the person you are.
